Building a better Q8PD
July 2, 2009
We played around with Google hues for some inspiration, but none caught our interest. The metadata felt cluttered, packed, and static which meant they were very discouraging for users to follow through with clicks. We also contemplated using icons for navigation to bring more attention to functions such as the phonebook. The search field was large for extra emphasis.
We experimented with darker colors to contrast the whitespace and give a solid feel. Also tried to avoid the box-y feel with borders.
