We went on a guided tour to see the famous Fuji Mountain. We didn’t climb it, but the view alone was very fulfilling. Despite the high altitude and thinner air, breathing felt quite refreshing.
For the second part of the tour, we headed to Owakudani. We had to get on a cable car to reach it, and there we found out that the japanese cooked eggs on the volcanic springs until they turned black. “Eating a black egg will extend your life by 7 years!”, they claimed. No, I didn’t try one, it smelled of sulfur. Finally we sailed on Lake Ashi all the way to the Shinkansen (bullet train) station.
