If you find thumbing your phone’s keypad is too cumbersome, you can use Address Book that comes with Mac OS X to make life easier. All you need is phone that is supported by iSync and a bluetooth connection on your Mac then do the following:
- Run Address Book
- Click the Bluetooth button and pair your device.
- Click on the left of any number (in this case the word “work”).
- You can chose to dial or send an SMS using your phone.
- As long as your device is paired, any incoming calls or SMS will be displayed on screen -almost like instant messaging.
Extra Tip: If you happen to be using Quicksilver, there’s a plugin that allows you to display a phone number printed in large on your screen without having to run the application.
